Dance to Health Peer Motivators are older people with an enthusiasm for dance. They support Dance Artists in the sessions, offering encouragement and support to the group. For participants the Peer Motivator is someone like them who shows what movements are achievable with an older body. They inspire without being intimidating.
Peer Motivators receive full training and need to be fit enough to contribute.
Younger volunteers are also welcome to assist in classes - if you have a background in sport, dance or movement, are empathetic and enjoy working with older people please do get in touch.
Sessions take place in during the day, so if you wish to volunteer as a Peer Motivator you need to be able to regularly attend daytime classes.
